BOATING ON THE KILLARNEY LAKES

Following our hike through the Gap of Dunloe and a quick lunch at Lord Brandon's Cottage, we donned our life vests for a boat ride on the Lakes of Killarney, inside the Ring of Kerry.  There are 3 lakes in the surrounded by beautiful scenery - Lough Leane (Lake of Learning) is the largest of the three, followed by Muckross Lake (also known as the Middle Lake) and Upper Lake.  We boarded our transport at Brandon's Cottage on the Upper Lake, crossed under the Old Weir Bridge to Middle Lake and continued under the Bricin Bridge, finishing up at Ross Castle on the shores of Lough Leane.  There we boarded our little bus for the ride back to Coolclogher House.
